Design Features

  • Ultra-low profile design lowers the overall engine height by nearly 5 inches, dramatically improving center of gravity and chassis packaging.

  • Four integrated scavenge pickups provide excellent oil control under extreme braking, acceleration, and high lateral G-loading.

  • Designed around a 0.250" stainless steel mounting flange and 0.074" stainless steel pan and fill plates.

  • The design can also be fabricated from thicker material for severe-duty applications or built entirely from aluminum to reduce weight.

Important Fabrication Notes

The main pan is directional. When having the center section press brake formed, pay close attention to the bend direction. Incorrect bend orientation will prevent the pan from aligning properly with the mounting flange.

Due to the significantly reduced height of the dry sump oil pan, the lower engine-to-transmission mounting ears are eliminated as part of the design.

This is not a structural concern. The engine and transmission are precisely located by the factory alignment dowels, which carry the shear loads and maintain concentric alignment between the engine and bellhousing. The mounting bolts primarily provide clamping force to keep the two assemblies together.

The remaining eight engine-to-transmission fasteners provide more than sufficient clamping force for both street and motorsport applications when properly installed and torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.
