Design Features
Ultra-low profile design lowers the overall engine height by nearly 5 inches, dramatically improving center of gravity and chassis packaging.
Four integrated scavenge pickups provide excellent oil control under extreme braking, acceleration, and high lateral G-loading.
Designed around a 0.250" stainless steel mounting flange and 0.074" stainless steel pan and fill plates.
The design can also be fabricated from thicker material for severe-duty applications or built entirely from aluminum to reduce weight.
Important Fabrication Notes
The main pan is directional. When having the center section press brake formed, pay close attention to the bend direction. Incorrect bend orientation will prevent the pan from aligning properly with the mounting flange.
Due to the significantly reduced height of the dry sump oil pan, the lower engine-to-transmission mounting ears are eliminated as part of the design.
This is not a structural concern. The engine and transmission are precisely located by the factory alignment dowels, which carry the shear loads and maintain concentric alignment between the engine and bellhousing. The mounting bolts primarily provide clamping force to keep the two assemblies together.
The remaining eight engine-to-transmission fasteners provide more than sufficient clamping force for both street and motorsport applications when properly installed and torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.
These files are intended for experienced fabricators and machine shops familiar with welded sheet-metal construction.
Whether you're building a custom racecar or looking to maximize engine packaging on an M120-powered project, these fabrication files provide a proven starting point for a compact, high-capacity dry sump oil pan.

Custom fabrication and prototyping
Scan Details
The model captures the external geometry and mounting features of the AP Racing CP5895, making it particularly useful as a reference model when designing components around the caliper.
The scan can be imported into popular CAD and 3D modeling software including Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, Siemens NX, Rhino, Blender, and similar platforms, depending on the selected file format.
Important Information
This is a 3D scan/reference model, not an original AP Racing engineering CAD file. As with any scanned component, minor dimensional deviations, surface artifacts, or areas of reduced scan resolution may be present.
For safety-critical components such as caliper brackets, uprights, or brake-system components, critical dimensions should always be independently verified against the physical component or official AP Racing specifications before manufacturing.
Digital product only. No physical brake caliper is included.
AP Racing and CP5895 are trademarks/product designations of their respective owner. This digital scan is an independently produced reference model and is not affiliated with or endorsed by AP Racing.
